Kelvin scrolled through his calendar, he had six meetings to go today. Six! There's no way he was able to do six different pitches in one day and stay sane. He had switched from revealing clothing to pants suits ever since the 'first pitch incident.' He never told Maddie about the creepy investor, all he told her was that he said no and that it was time to restrategize.
He had a few minutes before his first meeting of the day, so he gave Maddie a call. "Hey, have you heard anything back from Jacobi yet?"
"No, not yet," Maddie said. "Look we gotta stick to the smaller investors first, going after a company as big as Jacobi is pointless, we're a gnat compared to them."
"I know I know, it's just that if we get them on our side we're set for life. Did you find Zoe's assistant's number like I asked?"
"Yeah actually."
"Great, send it to me!" With that Kelvin hung up. He was going to get Jacobi on his side, even if it meant pestering the heiress' personal assistant.
